Located on the Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta is the city of Pittsburg, with a population of just over 60,000 residents. It has industrial roots and was once named New York Landing until a name change in 1911 to Pittsburg.
Some of the city went through a remodel, which included the downtown and marina. Old Town Pittsburg is now thriving with shops, restaurants, and visit the theater on select nights for musicals, comedians, magicians, and more. There is a local farmer’s market, as well as live events during the spring and summer months.
With Bart being a new addition to the city, it is now more convenient to commute or visit many of the nearby major cities.
