Lafayette is one of the smaller cities located in Contra Costa County, with a population of just under 25,000 people. Surrounded by oak tree hills, Lafayette is a wonderful city for families to consider. Being more of a quiet community, it has a low crime rate, cleaner air, and some of the top-rated schools in the Bay Area.

Most of Lafayette is predominantly single-family properties but it ranks among the most expensive in the Bay Area. The homes have many features that families are looking for when choosing a good community to raise children.
