Antioch is the Gateway to the Delta, located on the banks of the San Joaquin River in Northern California, just off of highway 4. It has become the heart of Eastern Contra Costa County, with a population of over 100,000 people. Through its expansive growth, Antioch has a variety of employment opportunities from schools, to hospitals, and other local services. It also offers a wide variety of recreational activities, like shopping at one of the vast amounts of plazas, golfing at one of many golf courses, fishing and boating at the marina, and even spending a day at the local water park.
There is still much-undeveloped land in Antioch and it offers more affordable housing than compared to other parts of the Bay Area. There are a variety of house styles throughout the city, from condominiums to single-family residences, priced for a variety of income levels. Retail and office space in Antioch typically leases for 20 to 30 percent less than comparable space in central Contra Costa County.
